WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION:
This two-week program offers a unique opportunity for children to develop their writing and publishing talents. Under the guidance of experienced GVWP Teacher Consultants, emerging writers will gain new confidence and skill in an atmosphere that is optimal for productivity and learning. Every day, our students will engage in writing activities appropriate to their grade level as they explore new ideas, play with language, and express their ideas on paper. A team of expert teachers and skilled teenage coaches will provide personalized attention for each child as our young authors compose, share, and publish their work.
ATTENTION TEACHERS: Consider attending the GVWP Demonstration Lab that accompanies this workshop at Ripon High. Children of participating teachers receive free registration! By attending this program together, you'll expand your teaching strategies and share an exciting learning experience with your child.

We will celebrate student work at our Open House on Friday, June 17th from 11:00 - 11:30 p.m.

Students from low-income families in Manteca, Lathrop, and Ripon who need financial assistance may qualify for scholarships. To determine whether your child qualifies for a full scholarship, view our scholarship information page.
